UK reports 1,564 new COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hrs



LONDON: The number of COVID-19 cases has reached 3,211,576 in the United Kingdom (UK) after 47,525 new cases were reported in the country.

Currently, 1,719,842 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals and isolation wards across the country while 1,406,967 have recovered from the pandemic.

Similarly, the death toll linked with the coronavirus has reached 84,767 with 1,564 new deaths so far in the country, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometer.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 1,985,096 and infected 92,728,293 globally until the filing of this news.
