TOKYO: Nepali Congress leader Arzu Rana Deuba has held a meeting with the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan.
Leader Rana thanked the Japan government for its assistance to Nepal during a meeting with Toshihiro Nikai, the chairman of Nepal-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Association, held at the party headquarters in Tokyo.
The Japan government had provided Nepal AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines in its fight against the pandemic.
Aside from Nikai, Rana also met with Ryuji Koizumi, former director-general, International Bureau, Liberal Democratic Party, Katsuei Hirasawa, director-general, International Bureau, Liberal Democratic Party and Former Minister for Reconstruction, Yosuke Tsuruho, chief secretary, Japan-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Association, Yohei Sakai, chairman, Nature Conservator Association of Japan and Motoyuki Odachi, former junior Vice Minister of Finance during her Japan visit.
Climate change, disaster, prevention and management, increasing connectivity and partnership in various sectors including education were discussed during the meeting, shared Rana.
