BUTWAL: Police have claimed that a large quantity of petrol bombs and home-made weapons were found in the vicinity of Motipur Industrial Area in Butwal.

Earlier, a clash had broken out between security forces and a group of land grabbers in the industrial area on Sunday.

During the clash, four civilians were killed and more than 50 security personnel were injured.

According to security forces, dozens of petrol bombs were recovered by security personnel who took control of the industrial area after a double clash.

During the clash, a group of land grabbers had hurled stones and petrol bombs at the security personnel.

A dozen security personnel including SP Rajesh Upreti of Armed police Force, Nepal were injured in the clash.

According to Nirakar Shukla, Deputy Superintendent of Police, the police recovered petrol bombs hidden in hay and bush during a search operation.

According to Shukla, the bottles of beer and liquor were found in the bottles filled with petrol.

The police also recovered broken glass and pieces of iron rods from the site.

The local administration had evacuated the area on Sunday after squatters from different districts of the country occupied the land in the name of squatters since last April.
