Maoist Center Chair Prachanda condoles Mugu bus mishap victims



KATHMANDU:  CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has expressed deepest condolences over the demise of the people who lost their lives in a bus accident in Mugu district.

Posting a Facebook message on Wednesday morning, Chairman Prachanda said, “I would like to express deepest condolences over the demise of brother and sisters who lost their live in the Mugu accident and extend similar griefs to family members of the deceased.”

He has wished a speedy recovery to the injured and has urged the government to provide due compensation to the families of the deceased and treatment expenses to the injured.

As many as 32 people were killed when an ill-fated bus, Bhe 1 Kha 3167, heading to Gamgadhi, the district headquarters of Mugu, carrying passengers from Nepalgunj met with an accident at at Chhayanath Rara Municipality-7 on Tuesday.

Province Police Office, Surkhet informed that 24 passengers died on the spot, four died in course of rescue at Talcha airport, and the remaining four during treatment at Nepalgunj. Those killed in the accident are 22 males and 10 females.

It has been said that the accident occurred after a front tyre punctured. The bus had slid some 300 meters down the road. There were 45 passengers in the bus when it left Nepalgunj on Monday.
