Mid-West University and Chandigarh University sign MoU

KATHMANDU: Mid-West University, Nepal and Chandigarh University, India have Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Academic Collaboration.

The MoU signing ceremony between Mid-West University, Nepal and Chandigarh University, India was held at Chandigarh University, Punjab, India on Tuesday.

The Vice-Chancellor of Mid-West University Prof. Dr. Nanda Bahadur Singh and the Pro-Chancellor of Chandigarh University Prof. Dr. R.S. Bawa signed the MoU in the presence of professors and officials of the universities.

Issuing a press release following the MoU signing, Mid-West University said the aim of the MoU is to foster academic excellence and bilateral relations between the two universities and the nations.

“The objective of the signing the MoU between the two universities is to foster academic excellence, faculty and student exchange, research collaboration, quality education, positive environment, paradigm shift, transformative initiatives, cultural and contextual relevant models for development,” reads the press release.

Meanwhile, it also aims to create opportunities for professional development in order to prepare the human resources fit to 21st century to face the global needs.

The MoU shall remain in force for a period of five years from the date of its signature and will be extended with mutual understanding, according to the press statement.
