UML obstructs National Assembly meeting on Monday



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party CPN-UML has continued extended its obstruction program to the National Assembly (NA) meeting on Monday.

After the meeting started on Monday, UML lawmakers rose from their seats to protest.

UML is obstructing the parliament over the role of Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota. It has accused the speaker of playing a role in the UML split.

The National Assembly meeting has also been obstructed on this issue.

After the UML MPs got up from their seats, NA chairperson Ganesh Timsina adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes.

UML has been obstructing the House of Representatives since Wednesday.
