Prachanda appeals to campaign for making coalition government successful

KATHMANDU: Ruling coalition partner CPN Maoist Center’s Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has appealed to party rank and file to campaign for making the government sucessful.

Addressing the Standing Committee meeting of the party at the party’s central office in Paris Danda on Friday, Prachanda called on party leaders and cadres to focus on the next four months to make the coalition government successful.

After the meeting, Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said, “In the upcoming four-month period, Comrade Prachanda directed all to struggle unitedly to make the coalition government politically successful, to defend and implement the constitution, and to fight against all other things that are likely to weaken national sovereignty, among other things.”

The meeting also decided that Chairman Prachanda would present a political and organizational report at the meeting of the Central Committee to be held Saturday.

Spokesperson Shrestha said the meeting also asked Chairman Prachanda to clarify the party’s manifesto, ways to strengthen and implement the cooperation of the Left-Democratic Alliance, and initiatives to establish a front of all communist and progressive forces.
