JSP, NC and Maoist Center inching close to forming a new government



KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), Nepali Congress (NC) and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) are inching closer toward forming a government.

According to JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, the discussion between his party and CPN-Maoist Center has been heading toward a positive direction.

According to him, talks with the main opposition NC, too, is sure to yield positive outcome.

Yadav informed that the talks between his party and the government were particularly focused on the release of Resham Chaudhary, the party’s former lawmaker, who is currently behind bars.

“Our discussions with PM Oli are centered on the release of leader Resham Chaudhary,” he said while emerging out from Perisdanda’s meeting with Maoist Center, adding, “We will thank PM Oli if he keeps his words and releases Chaudhary.”

He added that NC, Maoist Center and JSP are together in the fight against the government’s totalitarianism.

“We are in talks with each other and are very close to an agreement,” Yadav revealed, adding, “Soon we will sit together and decide formally.”
