Two local governments establish sisterly relations



KHOTANG: The Halesi Tuwachung Municipality in Khotang and the Panauti Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk have established the sisterly relations.

As said by mayors of two local governments: Iwan Rai and Bheem Neupane, they on Friday signed the six-point agreement paper to learn from each other’s best practices and to achieve institutional capacity enhancement in a friendly way .

The local governments will make efforts to achieve mutual benefit by exchanging learning from best practices in several sectors such as religion, culture and tourism. More, they will share relevant information with each other and will try for having coordination in the issues of common interests.

Formulation of required policies, laws, procedures in regarding with the local government’s responsibilities and priority for mutual support and cooperation are other issues to be promoted after the establishment of sisterly relations.

Other local levels in the district have established sisterly relations to pursue holistic development in the respective sectors.

The Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality has established the sisterly relations with the Namchi Municipality and Ranka Raigaun Municipality in Sikkim, India. RSS
