UML forms 45-member Standing Committee (With list)

Leaders ranging from Ghanshyam Bhusal, Bhim Acharya to Lalbabu Pandit included



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has formed a 45-member Standing Committee.

The ongoing meeting of the party’s Central Committee (CC) in Bhaktapur Sunday proposed the names of 45 leaders, including 19 office bearers, in the Standing Committee.

Leaders ranging from Ghanshyam Bhusal — who was defeated as vice chairman in recently held 10th general convention of the party, Bhim Acharya — who lost an election to the post of party secretary, to Lalbabu Pandit, who was not included in the central committee, have been included in the Standing Committee of the UML. Likewise, leaders Manichandai Thapa and Prabhu Sah are also in the Standing Committee.

Meanwhile, the party also formed a 99 members politburo which comprises members of the Standing Committee, including office bearers, among others.
