Attorney General Office submits annual report to President



KATHMANDU: Office of the Attorney General has submitted its annual report of the fiscal year 2076-77 BS to President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

At a program organized at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, today, Attorney General Agni Prasad Kharel presented the report to President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

The annual report was submitted to the President as per the constitutional provision for the same.

The report presented detailed accounts of achievements of the Office of Attorney General and its subordinating government attorney offices, the status of resources and means, physical status, and existing human resources during the year 2076-77.

According to the report, a number of government cases determined by the district attorney’s office was 29,760 while the number of defendants in the cases was 54,542.
