FNJ Kathmandu chapter submits memo to Minister Gurung



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has committed to making the media sector ethical and dignified.

While receiving a 16-point letter of memorandum submitted by FNJ Kathmandu chapter at the Ministry today, Minister Gurung urged the media persons to follow the media and journalist code of conduct.

The memo was submitted calling for addressing various problems facing the media sector of late.

The memo demands support to the small-scale media portal run with small investment, increasing the journalists’ medical treatment fund, removing the age bars to working journalists in government-owned media.

A team led by FNJ Kathmandu chapter chair Shantaram Bidari led had reached the ministry to submit the memorandum.
