KATHMANDU: Chopping onions perfectly is a skill. If you are struggling with cutting an onion into slices, we give you a simple method that you can try at home.
Chopping onions is an art.
Firstly, you need to cut off the shoot of the onion.
Start cutting the onion lengthwise. Divide into two pieces.
Take each piece of onion and start peeling the skin.
After peeling it, place one piece on a chopping board. Make slight slits on top, lengthwise without slicing it entirely.
Place the knife on one side of the onion piece. Then, glide the knife into the onion and take it out. Repeat.
Now, you can chop it further by cutting the onion with the knife from the top.
