Three arrested from Kailali with half-a-kilo of gold



DHANGADHI: Police have arrested three persons from Kailali along with half a kilo of gold.

A joint team of the Far Western Provincial Police Office, Crime Investigation Group, and Area Police Office Malakheti arrested them along with the gold.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, police recovered 449.77 grams of gold from them.

The arrested are Sameer Sijapati, Manager of Shaileshwari Gold and Silver Shop in Attaria, Raju BK of Sunsari and Bhawani Ghimire of Shuklaphanta Municipality-8 of Kanchanpur, according to SP Bishwa Adhikari.

SP Adhikari said that more than Rs 49,000 in cash and five mobile phones were also recovered from them.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the gold and cash recovered will be sent to the Revenue Investigation Office, Kohalpur for further investigation and necessary action.
