PM Oli not to attend all-party meet called by Speaker Sapkota



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is not attending an all-party meeting called by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota today.

Speaker Sapkota has called the all-party meeting to discuss the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) and find a solution to the current imbroglio. The meeting will be held at the Lhotse Hall of federal parliament building in New Baneshwor.

Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa hinted that Prime Minister Oli will not attend the meeting called by Speaker Sapkota.

A secretary member of the Prime Minister confirmed that he would not participate in the meeting, saying that this time is not suitable for the meeting. Sapkota has also invited Prime Minister Oli to the meeting.

Sapkota has intensified meeting with legal and constitutional experts following the dissolution of the HoR for the second time.

Earlier, he had held meetings with former speakers, legal and constitutional experts.
