Prachanda regrets losing old friends in an attempt to find new ones

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has regretted that in his attempt to find new comrades he has missed the old ones.

Speaking at a program organized by Namuna Swasthyakarmi Sangh Nepal at Perisdanda, Kathmandu on Thursday, Prachanda promised a course correction for the mistake of forgetting his old friends in an attempt to find new ones.

Claiming that various forces are conspiring against the political achievements attained after a long struggle, he vowed to fight against such forces.

Prachanda further said he will continue the fight against what he said “KP Oli attitude”.

He also stated that it was he who wrote the 19-page report against the “Oli attitude”.

“It was, in fact, an attack on the Oli attitude to wage a peaceful battle again him,” he said.

“I am mulling over running a campaign going to the people, the reactionaries at home and outside are attempting to nullify the achievements attained after a long struggle,” Prachanda said, adding, “We can overcome such forces only by relying on the people who sacrificed a lot to make this change possible.”

He added that he will spend more time outside the capital to be in touch with the grassroot level people once again.
