Fire in Udayapur guts property worth more than Rs 2 million



UDAYAPUR: A fire that broke in a house in Tapli, Udayapur has caused a damage worth more than Rs 2 million today.

According to Udayapur police, the fire started due to short circuit of the electric cable fixed on the solar panel of Panche Sarki in Tapli.

In addition to the house, three sheds including the cows in them have been destroyed by the fire.

The fire was brought under control with two hours efforts of the locals and the police from Rupatar Area Police office.

Sarki had a thatched roof and the fire caught the roof first making it difficult to take the things out from the house, the police said.
