Two killed in separate road accident in Morang



MORANG: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Biratnagar and Budhiganga Rural Municipality in Morang district.

A cyclist was killed when a tractor hit him at Rampur last night, according to Morang Traffic Police.

Munna Sahani of Mahanagar 11 died when the tractor (Ko 2 Ta 7139) knocked him down in Rampur.

Sahani, who was critically injured in the collision, died at Koshi Hospital, Biratnagar. Police have arrested tractor and driver Mukesh Kamat after the incident and started an investigation into the incident.

Likewise, a person identified as Suraj Khanal died last night when a scooter (Province 1-04-001P6460) heading from north to south at Budhiganga-2 under the Koshi Highway in Budhiganga village of Morang district met with an accident.

According to Traffic Police Inspector Khadka, Khanal, 26, of Urlabari Municipality did not even have a driver’s license.

Khanal, who was injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at Birat Teaching Hospital, police said.
