Unified Socialist Chair Nepal instructs Ministers not to indulge in disgraceful activities



KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has instructed Ministers representing the party in government to refrain from indulging in disgraceful and controversial activities.

Holding a meeting with newly appointed Ministers from the Unified Socialist at party’s office in Minbhawan, Kathmandu, Sunday, Chair Nepal urged the Ministers to realize that they shouldered huge responsbility towards the people, nation and the party.

Stating that ill practices, corruption and irregularities were not acceptable to the party, Chair Nepal directed the Ministers to pay special attention to these issues and encouraged them to be transparent and abide by the code of conduct.

Chair Nepal also clarified that the Unified Socialist had to revolt after UML Chair KP Oli took to unilateral and whimsical ways. He further asked the Ministers to learn from history and not repeat undemocratic acts for the sake of power.

Four Ministers and one Minister of State from the Unified Socialist were inducted in the Deuba-led cabinet Friday.
