KATHMANDU: The fourth day of Dashain is being observed by worshipping in Shakti Peeths, temples and houses.

On this day, mother Kushmanda is worshiped as a symbol of good deeds and creation.

It is believed that Goddess Kushmada created the world by holding threefold heat in her womb.

It is also believed that Goddess Kushmanda has the power to create both heat and cold.

According to beliefs, the Goddesses are regarded as mothers of warm blood group, humans, bird and cold blood group, snake, fish, and other creatures.

She is also believed to be riding on a lion, and holding two pots of blood in her hands.

The pots are said to be the basis of creation, according to mythology.

It is also believed that Kushmanda created the universe, the earth and ignited the Sun god by giving heat energy, and operated the solar system.
