Pact signed with Godavari Municipality to install street lights: Energy Minister Bhusal



KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has said that the Ministry has signed a partnership agreement with Godavari Municipality to install street lights in the municipality.

Minister Bhusal said it was agreed that the municipality would bear 40 percent and the ministry 60 percent of the street light installation cost. “As the festivals are here, the Ministry will make a decision after the festivals,” she added.

There are 14 wards in Godavari Municipality, including Chapagaun, Lele, Jharubarasi, Thaiba, Bishankhu Narayan, Godavari and Godamchaur.

Bethigal committee Chair Nirmala Chhetri said the community would continue to work in sanitation, environmental protection and minimization of social ills, among other activities.
