Founder of Nanglo Bakery Kakshapati passes away



KATHMANDU: Prominent Nepali entrepreneur and founder of Nanglo Bakery Shyam Sundarlal Kakshapati has passed away.

Kakshapati, who had been suffering from oral cancer for a long time, passed away, said Araniko Rajbhandari, president of Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (Reban).

According to Rajbhandari, Kakshapati has made a significant contribution to the development of restaurant and cafe culture in Nepal. Kakshapati is the founding president of Reban and former president of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN).

He was also the founder of De Bakery Cafe, which has a nationwide network, and Riverside Resort in Dhading.

He is also the director of Shubhatara School, which was recently declared closed due to coronavirus.

He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
