PM Oli might betray again, stay alert: Prachanda warns Nepal

Leader Nepal expressed commitment to not let down the opposition alliance

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has alerted CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal that the latter can be the victim of treason from Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Oli again.

According to Maoist Center sources, in his Saturday morning’s meeting with UML leader Nepal, Prachanda recalled some instances of betrayal from PM Oli and reiterated that PM Oli is no more trustworthy.

Prachanda had reached leader Nepal’s Koteshwor-based residence at around 11.30 am on Saturday and held talks for about an hour.

“PM Oli is not credible and there were plenty of instances of betrayal, stay alert,” the source quoted Prachanda as saying to leader Nepal.

The source claimed that Nepal assured Prachanda that he would take necessary decision after thorough consultation with the youth leaders close to him. Leader Nepal also expressed his commitment to support the opposition alliance and assured Prachanda that his faction will not let the opposition alliance down.

Both Prachanda and Nepal along with the party and faction they represent are the signatories of the writ petition submitted to the Supreme Court requesting to make Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba a Prime Minister.
