Nepal Police to get required resources: Chief Minister Poudel

HETAUDA: Bagmati Province Government Chief Minister Dormani Poudel has said the province government would make every possible effort for boosting the morale of the security agencies.

Inaugurating a two-storeied building of Nepal Police’s armed police battalion at Ratomate in Hetauda today, he said the province government was constructing 46 buildings for the police at various places of the province. The building inaugurated today was also constructed by the province government.

According to him, construction of half this number of buildings has been completed and the remaining buildings will be constructed by mid-June this year. He said a process has been initiated to provide vehicles for the police.

Secretary of the Province Government’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Madan Bhujel said the province government was committed to the efficient management of police.

Chief of the Bagmati Province Police Office, Deputy Superintendent Basanta Kumar Lama said 125 police personnel would be accommodated in the new building.

The Ministry stated that seven buildings are under construction in Makawanpur, six buildings each are under construction in Kavrepalanchok and Sindhuli, five buildings each are under construction in Chitwan and Ramechhap, four buildings each are under construction in Rasuwa and Dolakha, and three buildings each are being constructed in Dhading, Nuwakot and sindhupalchok.

The province government has allocated the highest amount Rs 182.196 million in Makawanpur district for this purpose.

Similarly, it has allocated Rs 99.191 million for Chitwan district, Rs 128.97 million for Sindhuli district, Rs 59.541 million for Dhading, Rs 105.83 million for Nuwakot district, Rs 71.14 million for Dolakha, Rs 124.99 million for Ramechhap district, Rs 149.52 million for Rasuwa and Rs 78.28 million for Sindhuli for the construction of police buildings.
