MCC has to be endorsed; anti-development elements spreading false rumors: Dr. Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has dismissed reports that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will invite crisis in the country.

“MCC should be accepted positively since it will help in the development of Nepal,” Dr. Bhattarai said.

He also accused India, China, and the elements which do not want development in Nepal of “sowing the seeds of confusion” on the issue.

Dr. Bhattarai said that Nepal should accept endorse MCC for the sake of the country’s development.

Dismissing claims that MCC would prove to be “fatal” as untrue, he said, “The rumor that the US Army would come to Nepal is totally false.”
