Newly appointed Chief of Army Staff Sharma conferred insignia



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has conferred the insignia of the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) to newly appointed Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma.

Spokesperson Jagannath Pant informed that Sharma was given the insignia at a special function held at the President’s Office on Thursday morning.

According to him, the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, Prabhuram Sharmaju, has taken an oath of office and secrecy before the President in accordance with Sub-section (2) of Section 9 of the Military Act, 2063 BS.
