17 killed in Uttar Pradesh pile-up



NEW DELHI: As many as 17 people have died in a vehicular collision in Kanpur of Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, Hindustan Times reported.

The condition of five among those injured is critical according to the Indian media. The injured have been taken to Lala Rajpat Rai Hospital.

The incident took place after a bus, loader and tempo collided with each other at Thana Sachendi in Kanpur on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Adityanath has announced to provide Rs 200,000 each to the family of the deceased.
