KATHMANDU: Prohibitory order imposed in Kathmandu Valley is likely to be extended by two more weeks.

As the condition of coronavirus infection has not been brought under control, the possibility of prolonging the order has increased.

To extend the order, coordination will be made with the Ministry of Health and Population.

A source said, “Everything is not under control now. An additional one and a half to two weeks prohibition should be made more systematic. Similarly, it is unlikely that the prohibitory order is lifted on May 12.”

Concerns about the hospital’s inability to cope with rising infection and death rates have also increased, the official said.

On Saturday, the number of infected people was lower than the previous two days.

However, experts have been saying that it is not possible to determine everything at the rate of one day. The prohibitory order of the second phase is ending on May 12 at midnight.

Meanwhile, the security forces have been saying that the prohibitory orders should be continued for two more weeks in the Kathmandu Valley.
