PM Oli congratulates Slovak PM Eduard Hegar



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli sent a message of congratulations to Eduard Heger on his appointment as the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic on Friday.

In his message, PM Oli expressed satisfaction over the excellent state of bilateral relations between Nepal and the Slovak Republic and conveyed Nepal’s desire to expand these relations further in the areas of trade, investment and technology as well as people-to-people connection.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PM Oli extended solidarity in the Slovak Republic’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Likewise, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali sent a message to Ivan Korcok congratulating him on his appointment as the Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. In his message, Minister Gyawali stated that, as landlocked and mountainous countries, there are strong imperatives for the two countries to work closely on matters of common interests bilaterally as well as in global forums.

Also today, Foreign Minister Gyawali sent a congratulatory message to Carlos Alberto Franco Franca on his appointment as the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The Foreign Minister conveyed his desire to explore further the opportunities for cooperation between Nepal and Brazil in the areas trade, investment, agricultural technology and tourism, the Ministry said issuing a statement.
