Fire at Manamaiju-based Pan Parag industry, contained



KATHMANDU: A massive fire has broken out at an industry based at Manamaiju in Tarkeshwor municipality-8 in the Kathmandu Valley.

The fire which started apparently due to short-circuit at 1:30 am has been contained.

Police and locals with the help of fire engines from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur doused the fire this morning, said Police Inspector of Balaju Police Circle, Gambhir Jung Thapa.

Six machines along with raw materials used for manufacturing Pan Parag have been destroyed in the fire.

The property details gutted in the fire are yet to be estimated.
