KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted rains compounded with thunderstorms in some places of the country.
Light rain is forecast today afternoon owing to the impact of westerly winds, low pressure trough stretching from east to west and the watery vapor blowing from the Bay of Bengal.
According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD at 6 am today, the weather will be generally to fully cloudy in Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati Pradesh and Gandaki Pradesh and partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the provinces.
Similarly, the weather will be generally to fully cloudy in Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2 and in hilly areas of the rest of the provinces and party to generally cloudy in the rest of the province today.
Light to moderate rain amid thunderstorms is predicted in a few places and heavy rain is likely in one or two places of Pradesh 1 tonight.
Light rain is likely in some places on Sunday and Monday, according to the Division.
