BAC meeting underway prior to HoR meeting



KATHMANDU: A Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting is underway in New Baneshwor prior to the House of Representatives meeting.

The meeting is likely to reshuffle the members of various parliamentary committees, according to Shreedhar Neupane, the Press Advisor of the Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

The BAC is currently dwelling on the four lawmakers recommended by the CPN (Maoist Center) for taking action.

This is the first incident a party has recommended action against four lawmakers following the formation of the incumbent HoR.

Information Technology Bill that entails a controversial provision to imprison an individual for five years along with a fine of Rs 1.5 million for expressing critical views online or on social media is being tabled in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Thursday.
