KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has asked the lawmakers of the Prachanda-Nepal faction to ask the Supreme Court (SC) if they are not clear about the verdict and the party he belongs to.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Monday, PM Oli scoffed at the lawmakers, particularly Bhim Rawal of the Prachanda-Nepal faction questioning about his party following the SC verdict and asked them to go to the SC if they were still in confusion.
“The SC has made it clear which party I belong to, which party I lead and which party I should be accountable to,” PM Oli said in the program organized to observe 111th World International Labor Women’s Day.
Then Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Standing Committee member and lawmaker Rawal had on Sunday raised a question about the legal ground for PM Oli staying in power and asked which party he belongs to.
NC lawmakers had also expressed concern about the moral ground for the PM to hold the post once the party he belonged to was dissolved by SC verdict on Sunday.
He said the House of Representative (HoR) was dissolved as it could not function well.
He criticized the lawmakers of the Nepali Congress for making fun of the parliament by boycotting the first meeting of the reinstated HoR.
