KATHMANDU: Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) registered in Election Commission (EC) under Gopal Kiranti’s name has warned to knock the door of the court provided they are deprived of their party.

Claiming that the party functioning abiding all regulations deemed mandatory cannot be handed over to anyone else, the Maoist Center leader Alok Rayamajhi has warned to seek legal action if his party is snatched away as per the Supreme Court (SC) verdict of Sunday.

“We are registered in EC abiding all legal provisions, we are operating political activities in the party’s name, no one can claim the name back,” Rayamajhi said warning, “We will go to SC if we are deprived of it under any pretext.”

He further argued that Prime Minister KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ should register their new party if needed.

Giving its verdict on long-pending name dispute related to Nepal Communist Party(NCP), SC had declared Rishi Kattel led NCP an authentic  party on Sunday.

SC denied the legal existence of ruling NCP and declared that the parties in the government exist in status quo of pre-unification period.
