Indian national arrested with Rs 193,000 fake Nepali notes

PARSA: An Indian national has been arrested by Parsa Police with 193,000 fake Nepali currency notes.

According to the District Police Office, Parsa, a team of Ward Police Office, Sreepur stopped a motorcycle (BR 05 M 6097) at Birgunj Metropolitan City-13, Radhemai on Sunday night and found the counterfeit money.

Police Inspector Deepak Kumar Sah at the Ward Police Office Sreepur said that 193 Nepali currency notes in the denomination of Rs 1,000 were found hidden inside the visor of the helmet.

Amandeep Kumar Singh, a 22-year-old resident of Raxaul in Bihar, was arrested and further investigation is underway, said Parsa Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Kunwar.

Police said that three grams of heroin was also recovered from him.
