Lawmaker Shahi heads towards Nepal-China border to inspect border pillar no. 12

SIMKOT: Lawmaker Rangamati Shahi is heading towards Lapcha, a border area between Nepal and China in the Humla district.

The team headed by Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Shahi will inspect the physical structure built unilaterally by China in Lolungjong, and also will inspect border number 12.

Shahi has been publicly claiming that China has encroached upon Nepal’s territory in the Humla district.

According to her, it was a matter of concern as China has built physical structures in the area where Nepal had constructed a road.

She is also scheduled to make public the situation in Lapcha after her return from the field visit to the northern border where China has encroached upon Nepali land.

Lawmaker Shahi will also hold discussions with the locals of Limi of the district.

A team formed by the government headed by Home Ministry Joint Secretary Jaya Narayan Acharya has already reached the disputed area, and has submitted its report to the government.

The report is yet to be made public.
