Two killed in Sunsari road mishap



SUNSARI: Two people have died in a road accident that occurred at Itahari-17 in Sunsari district on Wednesday night.

The identifies of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. They were riding the scooter involved in the accident.

Critically injured scooter riders passed away while being rushed to Koshi Zonal Hospital, said Province 1 Traffic Police Office, Itahari. Their bodies have been kept at the hospital.

A truck, Na 6 Kha 5681, had hit the scooter, Ko 20 Pa 6747, heading to west from east at Lions Club Chowk in Itahari last night.

Meanwhile, police have arrested truck driver Arjun Giri, 31, of Hetauda-9, Makwanpur and the truck under control for investigation.
