Met office forecasts rains until Friday, warns of floods



KATHMANDU: With the monsoon getting active again, heavy rains are predicted in some parts of the county, triggering floods and landslides.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy rains in various parts of the country for the next three days.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has urged people especially those living on the banks of Sunkoshi, Bhotekoshi, Tamakoshi, Arun, Tamor rivers and their tributaries warning of floods.

Similarly, the floods are also likely in Narayani, Trishuli, Budhigandaki, Marsyangdi, Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, East Rapti and Tinau rivers.
