KATHMANDU: Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is holding an emergency parliamentary party (PP) meeting.
Currently, lawmakers are gathering at the parliamentary party office. According to sources, they are holding the meeting after the main opposition Nepali Congress took a stand saying that it would not join the bandwagon to file no confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Oli until the ruling NCP’s authenticity issue is finalized.
Prachand-Nepal faction had made preparations to file the no confidence motion against Oli in case he did not step down.
The faction is, currently, dwelling on the no confidence motion in the PP meeting, according to a lawmaker.
Earlier, the faction’s chairman duo Prachanda and Madhav Nepal had held a meeting with Speaker Sapkota at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar this morning.
