KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the CPN (UML) is united from its 10th national congress and returned to its mission and future course of action by gaining power.

At a press meet organized by the Chitwan chapter of Press Chautari Nepal at Bharatpur today, he shared that the UML has been moving ahead with a target to win more than 50 percent seats in local levels and to get a majority in federation and provinces, saying the power gained by the party from the 10th national congress would be seen in coming elections.

Saying more than 700 thousand people had participated in the inaugural session of the CPN (UML) national congress, Bhattarai opined, “We have made a record.

The Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) have decided not to organize mass gatherings in their national convention being unable to break this record.”

He argued that overall democratic norms and values are being breached due to the coalition government and the executive has been collapsed due to politics of sharing of posts.

The CPN (UML) Secretary objected to an amendment to Public Procurement Act, added the UML Secretary. He mentioned that there would be competition only between CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress in Nepal.
