Nepal sees 1,043 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 440 fresh coronavirus cases

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,043 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 849 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 194 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 344 persons in Kathmandu, 61 in Lalitpur, and 35 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 440 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 12 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 891 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
