KATHMANDU: Leaders of the CPN-UML’s disgruntled Khanal-Nepal faction have come up with mixed views regarding party unity and the faction’s participation in government.

The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the Nepal faction that began Thursday concluded Friday after leaders presented their suggestions on the issues.

Some of the leaders said the party should not participate in the government and oppose the party while others favored the opposite. However, leaders’ suggestions to large extent converged in terms of party unity with emphasis on ‘respectable terms’ for UML unity.

The leaders agreed to focus more on retaining party unity based on 10-point agreement prepared by the task force comprising leaders of both Khanal-Nepal and Chairman KP Oli factions.

After leaders of the faction presented mixed views, Standing Committee (SC) members of the faction are engaged in discussion to reach a conclusion.
