SC orders reinstatement of Rastriya Janamorcha’s expelled lawmaker Thapa



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has ordered the reinstatement of Rastriya Janamorcha Gandaki  province lawmaker Krishna Thapa, who had been expelled from the party and ultimately lost the post of a lawmaker.

Issuing an interim order on Sunday, a single bench of Justice Kumar Chundal directed that dismissed Thapa should be reinstated till the final decision on the petition comes.

Citing that the dismissal of lawmaker Thapa causes an irreparable loss both from the point of view of the amenities and the balance of power, the Bench directed to reinstate lawmaker Thapa.

Hailing him guilty of not abiding the province parliamentary party’s directives, Janamorcha had expelled him from the party and recommended the revoke of his membership in the parliament.
