One arrested for black marketing of Remdesivir drug in Valley



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man for black marketing Remdesivir drug, which is used in the treatment of coronavirus infection, from Maharajgunj Thursday.

The arrested is identified as Rasik Miya of Gorkha.

Police arrested Miya while he was selling the drug, which is priced Rs 25,000 in the market, for Rs 220,000. According to Miya, Deepak Dhakal, the operator of Sevak Firm located in front of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, asked him to sell the drug.

Police filed a case against Miya under the Infectious Diseases Control Act and Black Marketing Act.
