Burglar who stole 16 idols from Lalitpur lands in police net



KATHMANDU:  A burglar who stole 16 idols from a workshop in Lalitpur has landed in the police net.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Lalitpur Metropolitan Police Range arrested Raj Kumar Sunar of Bethanchwok rulral municipality, Kavre on the charge of stealing idols.

Sunar had decamped with as many as 16  idols made up of metal from the Dhaughal Bazaar-based workshop operated by Michael Shakya on March 26, said police.

Police arrested him with the stolen idols.

Police said they are investigating the case by taking Sunar on a five-day remand from the Lalitpur District Court.
