KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has demanded action against those involved in the rape and murder of Bhagarathi Bhatt of Chadepani, Baitadi.
Chairmen Madhav Kumar Nepal and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said in a statement on Saturday that they were shocked by the incident.
“We strongly condemn the brutal and inhumane treatment meted out to a 17-year-old girl on her way home from school,” the statement said.
The Dahal-Nepal group has accused the state of failing to provide peace and security to the common man.
