Nepal records 183 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths



KATHMANDU: The country has recorded 183 COVID-19 cases and two infection related deaths in the past 24 hours.

The infection cases were evidenced from the total 2,307 tests conducted in different laboratories of the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

With this, the infection caseloads have hit 904,804 and the death toll reached 11,438. So far, 794,438 infected people have been free of the virus with 659 in the past 24 hours.

The recovery rate is 97.6 percent. The number of active infection at present stands at 8,413. Of them, 7,763 are in home-isolations and 650 in institutional isolations.

Two hundred infected persons have been admitted to intensive care units and 55 are on a ventilator support.
