US President Biden extends Deepawali greetings



NEW YORK: American President Joe Biden has observed the Deepawali festival and extended greetings, wishing for unity among the people.

Posting on Facebook image of First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and he himself celebrating Deepawali at White House, President Biden has extended greetings on the occasion of the festival.

Biden has extended greetings among all the Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists living in America and across the world, wishing them peace, harmony and prosperity on the occasion of Deepawali.

“May the light of Diwali remind us that from darkness there is knowledge, wisdom, and truth, from division, unity and from despair, hope,” Biden wrote in his Facebook.
