Three reports presented in HoR



KATHMANDU: The annual report of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), 2020/21, was tabled at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday.

The report was tabled by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Lilanath Shrestha, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Likewise, Chairperson of HoR, Public Accounts Committee, Bharat Kumar Shah also tabled the annual report of the committee. Also today, Chairperson of HoR, State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Sashi Shrestha presented the committee’s report on the federal civil service bill, 2020/21.

Earlier at the start of the meeting, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota welcome newly elected member of the House of Representatives Janaki Devi Ram and wished for her successful tenure. She was elected from the proportional representation (PR) system under the Dalit inclusive list. She was elected in the post of MP that had fallen vacant after demise of Sanu Siwa.

The House of Representatives will meet again at 1:00 pm on April 8.
