Chief Justice approves secondment of 21 judges



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (SC) Cholendra Sumsher Rana has approved the deputation of 21 judges on Monday.

As many as six High Court judges and 15 District Court judges have been sent to different work stations following the approval.

High Court Judge Bal Krishna Upreti has been transferred from Janakpur to Pokhara and Judge Renuka Sah from Biratnagar to Butwal. Similarly, Judge Dal Kumar Khadka from Pokhara to Janakpur and Ujjwal Shukla from Janakpur to Pokhara.

In the same way, District Court judge Mahendra Bahadur Karki has been transferred from Sindhupalchowk to Sindhuli, Harischandra Dhungana from Lamjung to Tanahun, Giri Raj Gautam from Siraha to Jhapa and Tej Prasad Poudel from Dhanusha to Myagdi.

Other judges whose duty stations have been altered are Bharat Lamsal, Kamal Prasad Pokharel, Tejendra Sapkota, Parshu Ram Bhattarai, Puna Ram Khanal, Ramesh Kanta Adhikari, Babu Ram Subedi, Santosh Parajuli and Dinbandhu Baral, among others.
